I recently went from Adobe Audition to Pro Tools M-Powered. The biggest diff. is that PT has the option for massive expansion and way more options... but I do in a lot of ways miss AA because of how many dope FX and there were. The delays/etc. were terriffic, easy to use, and all "stock" options. I find myself fighting (and paying) to learn and have the ability to do the same thing in PT. Adobe Audtition has a GREAT sound to it also, and the "trackability" has something unique to it that I cant put my finger on.

All in all, I HAD to move on to PT because my field of work is taking me in that direction, but had AA had more expandability, I would have happilly stayed with Adobe.

And on the MIDI controller note, dont spend $100 on a shi**y Walmart board, they make extremely inexpensive ones to fit any budget. Check sweetwater or ebay.
