your using midi overide mappings... that's where it goes wrong for the input sequence for playback. Don't ask me why this is... it sometimes just 'happends'.

The redrum listens to a short range of notes to play the drums (C1 till A1 out of the back of my head, I don't have reason next to me so I can't fact check at it this point).

A work around would be using the NN-XT (use the remote programmer of the NN-XT) instead and map the drums accordingly to the midi input device your using. It works the exact oposite way, however you don't have to bother with the problem that certain notes don't show up while recording on the midi interface.

So, in short. Rig in an NN-XT, hammer on the keys to figure out what range they are triggering and then bring in the Bassdrum, Snare drum and set the root notes accordingly to where you want them to play.
